About us

We are a Christian, nonprofit counseling center that uses the best of science under the authority of scripture. Our vision is to be a clinical and spiritual resource for the Lowcountry, providing professional services as a gateway to transformation and healing. We are prayerfully connected to St. James Anglican Church and the Anglican Diocese of South Carolina, both of whom provide a spiritual umbrella and see our services as a needed mission in the community. Opening our doors in July 1, 2024, and we are grateful for the generous outpouring of support as we follow God’s call into a new season of life together.

Camino & Scallop Shell

In November of 2014 Richard hiked part of the Camino de Santiago, a 500-mile trail in northern Spain that pilgrims have been traversing since the 9th century. Camino is Spanish for ‘way’ or ‘path’. It’s also a pilgrimage, a journey that one takes to gain clarity, vision, and wisdom. The scallop shell is the symbol used to mark the Camino de Santiago, also known as the Way of Saint James. The tomb of the apostle, Saint James, son of Zebedee, is located at the trail’s end in Santiago, Spain. The scallop shell is also a reminder of the gift of living in the Low Country of South Carolina.
